Mohamed is a Transformational Leader at Credit & Political Risk Insurance & ECA-backed Finance.
Mohamed is currently Senior Executive Advisor & Acting Chief Underwriting Officer for Saudi EXIM Bank, which was founded in 2020 with the aim of promoting the development and diversification of Saudi exports and increasing their ability to compete in global markets in various sectors.
Prior to that, Mohamed was the Managing Director of EGE (The Export Credit Agency of Egypt) and helped lead a turnaround plan to revamp the Egyptian ECA. Mohamed joined EGE from Euler Hermes Middle East (Part of Allianz Group), where he assumed the responsibility of Regional Director of Risk, Information, Claims & Collections for the Middle East Region.
Prior to that Mohamed was responsible for the underwriting at the Islamic Cooperation for the Insures of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) – Member of Islamic Development Bank Group, which underwrites risks on behalf of member countries across Asia and Africa. He worked with the management team at ICIEC to design and implement a comprehensive transformation plan to the company in addition to his duties as Head of Risk.
Before moving to the Credit Insurance industry, Mohamed worked as an Investment Banker in various financial institutions across the Middle East. His main expertise was structured finance and M&A for Financial Institutions worldwide Mohamed has an MBA from IE Business School in Spain and in addition to that he is an Alumni of Harvard Kennedy School
